How do I get my pet cremated?

If your veterinarian is one of our "Preferred Veterinariens"  we work closely with them.  They will handle all the details for you.  When your pet dies or is put to sleep, they will call us to pick them up.  When your pet is ready to return home we will deliver them back to their office.  We will also pick up from most clinics in the Vancouver area.  Arrangements need to be made with us ahead of time.   You are also welcome to bring you pet directly to us, by appointment.

Is a casket required for cremation?

No, a casket is not required for cremation,  Should you wish to cremate your pet in a casket , It must be biodegradable.  Made of wood or heavy cardboard without any metal fasteners.  Most pet caskets are made of polystyrene (plastic) or fiberglass.  These are not acceptable for the cremation process.

How long does the process take?

The actual cremation process itself may take several hours, depending on the weight of the pet.  The ashes are generally returned to you within a few days

Can I scatter my pets ashes?

Yes, you may scatter your pets ashes most anyplace place you like.  The general rule to keep in mind is do not scatter them in a public waterway or a National Forest.  You may check with your local authorities if you have any questions.  REMEMBER scattering is an irreversible act.  Please be sure that is what you really want to do.
What do I get Back?

All pets that have been either privately or individually cremated are returned in our Memorial Package. These will be returned back to the Veterinarian or you may pick them up at our facility.    Communal remains are not returned.  All communal ashes are buried at sea.

I'm Still Here

Friend, please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight-
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach-
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
you can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.

I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see on a baby's face.
Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace!
